It is based on the 'Johari Window' which caqn be adapted to various contexts..
it is largely used in psychology, but I have found reference of it Alka's B.Ed books also. I have used it extensively in my work with illiterate rural audiences and also in branding / symbol design briefing meetings with the clients.
